Science Kits for Haiti

So many bored, unexcited students. Today’s students want to do meaningful work in all of their subjects. But it can be so hard for teachers to relate their content to real world problems.

Matt and his class have set up a funding page to help send their science kits to Haiti at https://www.gofundme.com/haitisciencekit.

Remember that from February 1-3, a review in iTunes is two entries in the drawing for the MakerBot Replicator Mini+ give away. See details at the bottom for how to enter.

In today’s show, Matt Clay talks to Vicki Davis on 10MT about how he saw a need and is rallying his science classes to meet that need.  Topics include:

  • How Matt helped his students care about a school in Haiti
  • How students and parents are getting excited
  • The problems with creating a social entrepreneurship project like this one
  • How any teacher can do this in their classroom

I hope you enjoy this episode with Matt Clay!
